IntelliPlate™: filter cloth failure detection for filter presses

IntelliPlate™ is a turbidity-detecting plate alarm system from FLS that detects filter cloth failure in a filter press and identifies which plate has the failed cloth. A turbidity sensor in the filtrate port of each plate raises an alarm when solids pass a damaged cloth, and an LED on that plate flashes red, so operators go straight to the right plate instead of inspecting the full stack. Catching the failure early means the cloth is changed before solids wear the plate's sealing edges, which extends plate and cloth life and reduces unplanned stops. IntelliPlate™ can be retrofitted to existing FLS filters and is used in tailings, base metal concentrates and others.
